For those of you who have any difficulty removing the roof trim on a Barina let me tell you it is easy as.

What I first looked at it I realised that it was clipped and rather than attack it I took the careful route and googled what was involved because there was nothing in the manual about it.

All of what I saw was on Corsa sites but what amazed me is how difficult they made it seem. It was even suggested that you practice first at what we call wreckers - doh!

So here's how it is done. Take a screwdriver and prise off from the inside of the trim - that's toward the centre of the car. You will see there is more room to insert a screwdriver too. You can use a bit of rag around the screwdriver if you want to be extra careful too. Start one end and then work your way along popping the clips as you go. It really is as easy as that. I did not break any of the clips unlike what the Corsa site suggested and they whole thing only took a matter of minutes.

All I can say is that Corsa drivers must be an unusual lot cos there is no way I could see what all the angst was. Like anything you take apart these days, once you work out how the clips work the rest is easy. And don't worry I have been bamboozled before especially with laptops. That is where I learn to google things first before just sailing in and costing yourself a sh*tload of trouble finding replacement clips and the like.Or getting half way through and finding the part you are attacking is not servicable.

Why would you want to remove the roof trim? Won't Sim's Metals take it if it has more cardboard than metal in the car?
