the computer plug can work loose and not be making proper contact try really jamming it tight I fitted a large hose clip around the plug and computer and tightened it and cured the problem.

don't forget to disconnect the battery before connecting or disconnecting the computer, or you risk damage thru spikes. presumably you can hear the fuel pump running for a few seconds.

Those old Bosch LE systems are pretty simple, I'd be checking the tachometric relay. The relay's job is to supply power under both cranking & running, maybe the running bit isn't working.
A simple check with a test light will do the trick.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |

Had a VK on dual fuel that I wanted to start on petrol. It started and ran real rich, and black rich smoke everywhere.
The cause was that the air flow meter had been replaced with a CAMIRA one, probably because the LPG had backfired and slammed the gate and bent it, and to get it running the previous owner just chucked a Camira one on to fill the gap. On LPG it made no difference what AFM was on it.
So check the BOSCH part numbers on the Air Flow Meter. |

Great information guys thank you and thank you for the link davequey74 very use full. Just a side line question this is a doner car for a VH Commodore can the EFI be transferred over to the Blue 202 ? I read in the link that davequey74 put up that the injected 6 was a higher compression engine and had a different valve grind, the blue 202 is solid been rebuilt a couple of years ago, head is for unleaded and has 150 psi per pot so any changes needed for the injection system to go on ?? of transfer the whole engine ?? Thank for your time again, cheers Barry. |

efi will go over but the exhaust system won't fit (9 port against 12 port) the compression on mine was about 10:1, 40 thou off a black head, the black head was a better one had bigger valves and better airflow. if you keep the blue block you don't have to change the pollution control or have it engineered/pitted.
