Putting blue 308 ignition on a red 308 using the red type dissy cap and blue spark plugs, what gap should I set them to please?

Blue 308 ignition will be electronic.

Assuming you are using the correct HEI coil to match the blue dissy & you've correctly rewired the coil feed for constant 12-volts, then you would gap the plugs the same as a standard blue V8 which is officially 1.5 mm, but I've found 1.3 mm to be better in practice.

Thanks Doctor, yes, correct coil and full 12v supply. I did the mod some time ago to get rid of the points but left the red motor plugs in. Its now tune up time so I have gone for the blue motor plugs.

Will I notice a difference? (I will report back tomorrow).
