hi,
i have a 327 that i am restoring back to factory
condition, i am about to paint the engine can anyone please tell me if all the gaskets are painted on the engines or are they left the orignal gasket colour.

i have herd that the engines were brought over from america and holden painted them completely red gaskets and all, can anyone help me is this correct.

I think they were painted overseas in Holden engine colour. Operating from memory here though. I remember being told this a while back by Ben or Warren. They'd be painted once assembled like 253 and 308. Shipped minus dizzy, carb etc and assembled over here then engine number stapmed at the assembly plant.
