Another basic question for you guys, but i want to do the job right.

Im replacing the exhaust manifold on the 202 from hell, i have a new gasket, but would it be advisable to use some sort of ehaust sealer as well ?

I asked the guy where i bought the welch plugs and he recommended an ehaust sealer which is like a white paste

Any advice appreciated cheers steve

I use a steel extractor gasket & no sealent should be needed, unless the manifolds need refacing.

THANKS mONARO202, The new second hand exhaust manifold has slight pitting after cleaning, so i might use a bit of sealant to be sure
