G'day fellas, any chance someone can take some pics of their hk 307 oil + temp senders installed on the motor with wiring etc. Just in the process of changing my dash from dummy lights to full instrumentation. Just need to see which wiring plugs/clips are used.
Cheers, Glenn.

The same 2 wires are used regardless of whether gauges or lights are in the dash.

Green for the temp gauge/light
Dk blue for the oil gauge/light

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

Agree with Dr Terry.

If you are putting in an original HK dash with original gauges the only thing different is ammeter wiring and installing the correct oil & temp senders.

There are two spots to install temp senders on the 307, one on the passenger side of the block, and another on the inlet manifold. The factory wiring goes to the block, I used the manifold one for the gauge which required additional wiring and the block location for an LED which I installed in the gauge face using the original light sender.

Be very careful with the copper strip on the back of the circuit board especially where the plug goes in as it's very fragile.

Hi, just to clarify, the dash wiring isnt quite the same, you are supposed to remove the green connector from the ignition switch. The light gets full power on the start position (this is to tell you the warning light is functional). If you leave it in, the gauge will go to FSD when you crank it.

If your temp light doesnt go on when you crank a standard dash it is usually dirty contacts in the ignition switch - the spring for this contact is quite weak so it loses conductivity eventually.

The oil sender also requires an adaptor.
