hi all ,
can someone tell me if the HK HT HG fuel tanks are all the same
will be looking for and a donor tank bottom as part of the recon of my bathurst big tank , will hk - ht - hg standard tank bottom match up to the big tank top ect ,
and apart from size only were the standard hk tanks exactly the same as the large ones

bottoms are unique to big tanks and salisbury type only as they have a curve to clear top of the diff
why drink & drive when you can drift & slide

I recently had my HG 25 gallon tank cut and shut with a standard bottom as the bottom of the 25 gallon was rusted.

Believe the bottoms of the HK are different to the HT&HG and 69 Rust bucket is correct the shape is different around the diff which can be accomodated when you do the cut & shut.

I had my tank cleaned & degassed by Minus Paint in Adelaide and cut & shut by Greens welding in Adelaide which incuded changing over the baffles. Minus paint then applied a resealer to the tank internals.

i have a standard bottom which can be modified to suit brett. best to phone "melbourne wide auto radiators" in west heidelberg VIC 0394595924. johns th man,being repairing these for 30yrs.

PS.. all bottoms are same except for th hump. its th tops that vary with different breather types

thats what i thought i read on a post somewhere that it is pretty easy to modify the standard bottom

whats is a great condition tank worth ?
what is a restorer bad condition tank worth ?
