The chassis number could be from anything, the VIN is from an XV4 Kingswood sedan (GTS sedan) fitted with a 308. They probably originate from the same vehicle but possibly not. If the chassis number appears on the ADR plate, and it says 6/76 HQ Holden sedan and 5 seat capacity then you are pretty much OK.

I have not been able to loacte a VIN number on the car but i have loacted this number 8q69tdh319528Q or is this a VIN number...and where and how did you get XW8 from Thanks Andy

My bad. I meant XV4 not XW8. XW8 is the GTS350 sedan, XV4 is the GTS sedan. Yours is an XV4 and being an Acacia Ridge example it says so on the BODY plate. I'll edit my last post to avoid confusion. XV4 and XV8 are the codes for the GTS sedan special vehicle packages, ones you'll be more familiar with are XU1 and A9X. Hovever if it says 6 seat capacity either it is an error or someone has put the wrong ADR plate on the car. The VIN on these cars is the one you put up ie 8Q69T...... What the RTA wrongly call the VIN is the chassis number, ie EHQ64... 1882 is the paint colour - Monterey Green Metallic. 30X is the trim - black vinyl L31 is 308 M21 is close ratio V8 4spd GV2 is 3.36:1 diff.
