G'day fellas,

I have a WK stereo problem. I had a a clarion stero installed about two years ago and have now pulled that one out to put the original one back in. There were no wires cut and adapters were used for whatever they needed them for. Now I have the new one in and it won't power up at all. Just wondering if I missed something or did I just put in back in wrong?

Cheers

Others will know more detail, but I recall there's some sort of 'activation' process required that only a Tech2 can do - it's to prevent theft & re-use of stereos. The original unit will only work in the car it came out of, but the 'memory' isn't held forever - you get several weeks/months before it 'forgets' (so you don't have to re-pair it to the car after a battery change).
Cheers,

Mick
