You need the Service Manul for this as the fuel pipes are massively different for the A/C cars. Would take too long to explain on here.

Mine is late 74, with factory air
It has 3/8 fuel line, I thought they were all the same with air right through the HQ 350 range?

^^Is yours one of those later engines with a different code after the assembly date code ie not H? And with the generic Chev carby, I think it is 7042202?

Is this an import HQ (Chev SS)? Engine number for an Australian HQ is either QU or 11QU. There were no QO's.

It is a mistake, has to be QU.

What about the T on the end of the BODY number?

Yes - "T" Designation Caprice, All South African Export models fully Assembled (Not CKD) were Caprice out of Adelaide plant.
Australian market HQ never saw the Caprice, only Custom and Deville - Didn't happen until 75 here.

"S" was Deville

Cool, just making sure you typed it right. So BODY and VIN plates but just holes where the ADR plate would have been on an Aussie vehicle? Does it have a chassis number? I would assume it does.

Yes chassis number, but no Compliance plate. Had to get Engineer here to affix that when it was imported back into Australia.
668 were sent to South Africa, others were sent to North America, South America, South East Asia, and two were sent to Fiji.
All were fully Assembled and Bodied as Caprice. CKD's were Deville, and Kommando in South Africa.

This one appears to have gone to South Africa via NZ (whether it did physically or not is another matter).
