Hi all,
what the the advantages, if any, of chrome rings over cast and will it make a noticable difference in a mild red six??

Chrome would be chrome molly? They are more durable. No performance increase, but handle high revs better and are less likely to break than cast. Part of a performance engine, not performance on their own.

From memory moly rings will bed in on a used bore, but cast won't (the bore needs to be honed first). SOmeone else here will know for sure.
