Hi all Wondering if anyone can help. I have a Hq coupe with a 350, turbo350 and a 9" diff. My problem is if I get wheel spin I get bad diff shudder. I've been told it could be the angle of the diff in relation to the tail shaft. I have adjustable trailing arms so I can change that. I'm going to put new shocks in tomorrow as well. Any other ideas would be much appreciated
Cheers
Chris

Dunno if I'll be much help, but here goes. Could be pinion angle, if the diff is tilting up just enough during wheel spin to make the noise. But I'd check the shocks first. I had bad axle tramp/shudder once on my HQ 350, TH400, 10 bolt. Got home & discovered that the LHR shock had come loose at the bottom mount. Back on & all was good. If you do adjust the pinion angle, count the turns on ya adjustable arms. http://www.chevelles.com...showthread.php?t=384560 is a thread on a Chevelle forum. Chevelle used the same (in stock form) rear end as a HQ -even the bushes interchange. Getting obscure, but it wouldn't hurt to check the rear gearbox mount either. Let us know how ya go.
