How can i tell if i have yella terra heads in my 350 Chev i have yella terra rockers 5001 but not sure what the heads are can i tell by serial numbers on the head.

Post up the casting number off the heads. |

the casting numbers on the head are as follows 3947041 L2 8 GM 5

Those are a good head, could be had in 1.94/1.5" valves or 2.02/1.6" valves. Used on higher performance engines. Being early 1968 cast they are probably off a 300hp 327 if they are 1.94/1.5" valves. If 2.02/1.6" possibly Z28 290hp 302 or 325hp 327. If they are Tonnawanda cast (big T on them) and being in Australia they are a good chance to be off a HT or early HG GTS350 manual (300hp 350). |

Hi HK yes the heads do have the big T on them so are the good heads

yes they are an excellent early head, i have a set of crane fireball 041,s with 2.02 intakes and they perform great, if there standard and have an x mark then there the hi-flow casting
