Hi all, would you need an engineers certificate to fit a 400 chev into a HK GTS? NSW location.

Car is 186S so would you need to upgrade the front brakes as well?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Brakes are the same as a GTS327. You can legally put a 327 in with no Engineering, but you'll need one for a 400. You were allowed to go up to 15% bigger (which would mean 376ci) and self certofy in NSW but the new NCOP is being adopted, not sure if it has yet. They may make you upgrade the brakes to at least HT GTS350 manual specs.
