Voxson was an aftermarket brand, sold by the likes of Strathfield Car Radios and many others at the time (Stage Co was another one from memory).

The VH SL/E only had 2 factory radios - both were Eurovox. Earlier ones had the manual tuning, while later ones had a digital tuner & presets (like WB Caprice series 1).

The plugs used on the Eurovox radios up to the end of the VH were common with the aftermarket, and you can still buy those plugs & sockets today from Auto-electrical suppliers. It would have made sense for an installer to patch the new radio's loom into a plug to plug & play - that was the quality level of the work at Stage Co back in the day.
Cheers,

Mick

Oh ok. Thanks for clearing that up. I thought they only had Eurovox radios.

Hey COMMODORENUT. Wot was the model number for the digital eurovox radio that came out in the late VH SLE's. Iv came across a ADP and it has one in it. I'll get the model number off it tonite, just wanna cross reference it to see if it's the correct one. I bought the rear speakers off it last night ($10 no bullsh*t) which were in fantastic condition, even the covers were perfect.

It was still the 9017 series chassis, but I can't remember the exact number.

VK (digital) models are the 22**/23** series.
VL (digital) models are the 67** series.
Cheers,
