Hi All,

I have 2000 Holden Astra TS, I've taken it to the mechanic/air con person and its still not fixed.

when driving the emissions light comes on and a fan goes into over drive and then the temperature gauge goes to zero and the A/C goes on and off, plus the fan blow out is really poor.

Also i need to know where in the car is the return air filter so i can replace it (as it's not in under the glove box where everyone keeps saying).

Can anyone help me please

Thanks

sounds like a problem with the coolant temp sensor, but reaal you need to have it put on a computer to check for codes rather than guessing, i think the pollen filter if that is what your looking for may be under the bonnet near the wiper if it is fitted,
Where are you located we have mechanics in most states.

Hey Pete,

I thought it might be a sensor and yes the pollen filter. I'm in Sydney where is your shop located?

Thanks
Rach

seems to be an electrical fault in the air con as the fan keeps blowing off and on, suggest the wiring to the front air con fan is faulty as it occurs when the air con is trying to turn on maybe a dead short, look for a loose or damaged wire near the fans.
