I went to remove the locking mechanism on my WB glove box lid and I cannot remember how to do it. I use to know how to do it years ago (and I am talking when I first found this site for the first time and sat down and read through everything of importance until the early hours in the morning,so there weren't that many pages) because I actually posted a step by step procedure on this site when a member asked but I can only go back as far as 2010 and I was under a different user name. I want to paint the lid but I hate taping around stuff if it can be removed as I feel it gives better results. I sat down with a spare lid last night and I am bum fluffed how I use to do it, I ended up damaging it. By memory there is a nut that you need to get onto and undo when you get the guts out of the barrel.......I Think???? Some people say you need the key but I have done it before to random glove boxes that I have not had the key but still managed to do it. I know somebody is going to say you just do this blah blah and the old brain will kick in and go that's right. Cheers MS
