i have a steel case 5 speed celica box , wanting to fit into a 186 hk ute. ute originally a 3 speed manual. seem to have most issues sorted but looking for info on the tunnel. looks as though the top of the gearbox will not fit within the moulded tunnel brace (if thats the description) to enable the shifter to come into the cabin area. has anyone fitted this setup before with any info?

You have to modify that main floor member, which happens to be the main supprt for the front seats. So Engineering is required to do it properly.
