Hey Guys, I think the master cylinder has a leak in my XB,
I went for a drive the other day and at times it sounded like an air leak down near the foot pedals when braking, when I drove into the driveway to park it, I had my foot on the brake, turned off the motor, then the air stopped and the brake pedal went hard like always,
How can I check if the brake booster is ok before I pull it out? and could it be some thing else?
Cheers Phill.

Phill,
If your brake booster sucks air in when you put your foot on the brake this is normal. However if it is constantly sucking air in with the engine running and your foot on the brake then you have a split diaphragm in your booster and it's time for a new one.
