I had this happen on the passenger side of a VS. Nothing I could do would open the door. Turns out the solenoid that opens and closes the lock was seized solid. I had to take the door trim off as much as possible with the door closed. Just undid it all around the lock knob and pulled it away enough to get a knife in there. It was actually a thin stanely knife duct taped to a broom handle to get down in there. Then I cut the top off the solenoid so that I could operate the lock mechanism again.
Just make sure you cutting the correct thing. Get familiar with what the solenoid looks like before you go shoving a knife in there.
Then once the door was open it was easy to take the door trim off and replace the solenoid.
But the whole job was a massive PIA.
Good luck.

The plastic on the end of the solenoid is quite tough, so you will need to use a lot of force to be able to cut through it.

Take the trim off the other side so you can see what your dealing with. The passenger side is probably due for replacement as well. James |
You only have to be in front at the end of the race. |

You know you might even be able to get a hacksaw blade in there and cut it off a lot easier.
I just used a knife as that is what I had handy.
