Leave the tonneau clips!
Paint is up to you. Most painters today like 2-pack but acrylic is still a pretty good finish. |

When you say leave the tonneau clips does that mean sand around them ? as I do plan on leaving all external trims like factory.
I think acrylic is the way I will go in keeping everything as it was, just so many opinions out there and this is my first restore
When sanding sections to metal I was told to put etch primer on it until the complete car is done
