Hi all, I've had a lovely little person stuff up my ignition barrel trying to nick my one tonner so I bought an aftermarket ignition and door lock set for it to change them all to suit the same key. The brand is Nice Products, but when I checked the locks in the packet only one of the door locks rotates fully in each direction, ie it would both lock and unlock the door whereas the other one only moves in one direction. Ok, here's the actual question. Should both door locks be able to lock and unlock the doors? The door locks in the ute at the moment are aftermarket too and ironically you can only unlock the passenger door with the key, but you can lock the drivers door with the key but not open it with one.
If someone could let me know I will be able to confidently return the locks I bought knowing that one is dodgy..
Thanks
Rod

All door locks should move both ways. Sometimes they're a little sticky when new, but if you can't free it up to go both ways by wiggling the key or pressing it in a bit harder when turning it, take them back for a replacement set.
Cheers,

Mick
