Hi. I am after a few suggestions as to my red 6 slight miss problem. It happens at idle when cold or hot. The motor has been rebuilt with only about 500 miles on it and is completely stock.I have done a compression test on it and 4 of the cylinders have 120 psi 1 has 115psi and the other was about 112psi which I thought was OK. I replaced the original distributor with a fully recond one as the timing was a little erratic but now it is very steady. Problem still there. I replaced the carby with a fully recond stock 1 3/32 one.Problem still exits. The car doesn't run too badly but at idle and in neutral you can hear this miss/popping sound from the exhaust.
I was wondering if it could be a inlet manifold leak. Ant ideas as to how I could check this. I believe you can use some carby clean and listen for the revs to change slightly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Starting to run out of ideas. Thanks in advance

you spray it around where the manifold bolts to the head if there is a leak there the engine note should change. but usually with those symptoms i would also consider the possibility of a burnt vslve, probably in the cylinder with the low compression. mind you it could be simply an exhaust leak.
