G'day, I'm doing up a HZ one tonner and I've hit a massive road bump.
The front left section of the chassis that the wish bone joins onto has been replaced and the road worthy can't be passed unless there's a structural report to go along with it, but the panel beater who did the job(almost 20 years ago), won't pass it. So I was wondering if anyone knew another way that doesn't involve replacing the chassis.

It may be cheaper and easier to replace the chassis.
Or take to to a quality repairer to fix and/or certify it. It may involve cutting out the repaired section and doing it again. |

Hi there,
If you are located in Victoria, I have a tonner chassis, complete, that you can have for the taking. I am in East Gippsland.

We are thinking about taking it to an engineer who can certify it, whether they can do an ultrasound, i'm not sure. But our last resort will be to sit it in the shed and slowly swap everything from the old chassis to a new one. Thanks anyway though. quote:
