Just wondering if anyone has seen this car up close. I think it was at a car show a couple of years ago. Is there a floor under that carpet? Are the front guards and doors throw-aways like the sills? If it was a little more roadworthy (Less fist sized holes) I'd be interested. Its cool though. http://www.ebay.com.au/i...ars&hash=item1c44439d00

Hi. It was at the Gasolene show in Melbourne, I think last year. That's where most of the photos on FoolsBay were taken. It's about the fourth time it's been listed, and I don't think it cracked it for a bid, which should tell you something about the price. I agree, it's cool, and will cost plenty to fix, if that's your chosen path. At the show the bottom half of one front guard, below the gills, was lying on the floor, complete with mudflap, which tells you the guards aren't great! Maybe someone else has seen more, but it had plenty of rust but otherwise to me looked very honest. It's in Springvale, so if you're really interested I could go and have a look.

Yeah I think that price is a bit . . wishfull, and he's not moving from that price either. According to his sales pitch he still thinks these cars are getting 150-170K but thats anchient history I think. I'd like to have a barely roadworthy sh!tbox hk81837 and I have no intention of restoring it. I'd drive it to Bunnings every weekend, thats were I'd get the pleasure from owning one. A shiny show car dosent realy do it for me, unachieved potential I like.
