I have a Rare Spares HT GTS steering wheel for my HT and I have 3 issues with it. First, it has no fitting instructions. Second, it doesn't have the horn contact ring (to match with the contact in the column) or the turn indicator cancel lugs. Both of these items are on a removeable piece on a standard steering wheel held on by 2 screws. The GTS wheel has 2 holes matching where the standard Holden screws are, but they aren't tapped with a thread. Third, when the wheel is fited to the steering shaft, there is a 12 mm gap between the back of the wheel and the plastic column shroud so the internal mechanism is visible. I have raised this with Rare Spares and they are working on an answer in the next few days. Just wondering if anyone can assist in the meantime.

Skidmark. Firstly I welcome you contacting me direct on (03)93054000 Greg Barker to resolve your issues. the wheels are reproduced and sold as originally by GMH and no fitting instructions were provided. The horn contact ring is a separate item which we have not had remade to date. There are two versions depending on the steering box ratio. The two attaching screws cut their own thread into the wheel during fitment. The gap you mention is unknown to us as the testing and fitment on vehicles here and by customers doesn't show this. can you advise which branch and who you spoke to about your concerns.

No such problems with the Rare Spares steering wheel on my HT GTS.

First, thank you to Greg for his phone call to sort out my questions. I have now got my steering wheel fitted and working correctly.
