Whats the situation with these? I have been waiting 2 weeks for my front windscreen to be replaced, the windscreen guy reckons he can't get them from RS.
The one he did get was the wrong one, apparently mislabelled.

John - if you really get stuck, then often times 2nd hand VK screen rubbers are good enough to re-use, and will get you out of a bind.
It's a pity they only ran that screen rubber for 1 model (VK only) as it's much nicer than the VB-VH one.
Cheers,

Mick

There are 2 types of VK seals WSF115C which is "SS" SL Berlina without insert. WSF115B is for all other VK excluding export. There is no stock shortage of either item in the warehouse. The seals were checked and comply with the drawing. RS Perth have been trying to talk to the fitter to resolve supply.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
Personally I think it is the wrong glass, when he sat it on the existing window it looked to be about 1" less wide, the rubber was clearly too wide for the new glass. He assured me it was the right part number and was the same all the the vb-vl series.
I will give them a ring tomorrow this is not satisfactory, even for an insurance job, I need my car.

They reckon they will have a new seal monday and fit it. Also they reckon the VL one is different. I dunno.

VL is different - it's screen is glued in place.
Cheers,

Mick
