I changed my 3 sp column manual to a 5 sp floor shift supra gear box in my HT holden some time ago and I'd like to make a better job of the floor hump around the gear shift. If I weld a raised section in around it,won't I need an alteration to the carpet to fit well?Is their a particular surround from a different make of car that suits best and also a rubber(or maybe vinyl/leather) boot to suit? At the moment the rubber boot has worn and you can just about see the ground. Not good for road worthiness.Anyone have any tips on this?
