So I was at a car show(muscle car madness) and there was a nicely restored silver mink monaro there and the boot stainless was an orangy red colour which I thought was wrong, the guy that restored it reconded that he had done his research and it was correct.my stainless is painted with vht sp450 anodised red.So does anyone know what the actual colour is ment to be?

It is a red not orange. I have NOS tail-lights with it on and definitely a red, looks almost clear.

From memory, the colour was called Translucent Red.

G'day HK1837, any chance you can put a pic up of your NOS lights? I have a repro pair of lights and want to know exactly where I have to paint the clear red. Thanks, Glenn.

There is but i'm not too good on Dandenong numbers. I'll ask. I don't recall too many if any June case blocks though, it is over 6700 numbers into the Dandenong sequence so has to be pretty late so a good chance it is HT. What does it say on the side, 7 or 8 (for the year)?

No it does not. 6 represents one short from perfection because 7 represents perfection and 3 times is about a confirming it type of thing but 3 six's represent extreme imperfection because it's one short off 3 times and that's what is being representation of Satan, who is claiming to be God but is only a deception. and with 4 six it represents nothing.
Any number means nothing at all written down, but it's the representation that is the point, not the number.

6666 Symbolizes the legions of Satan, similarly to the number 666 which represents Satan himself.

July 1969 HT. We still don't know why the HT 307 engines are mostly mid 1968 cast but it is how it is. Lots of factors in play it seems.

It is from a Mwlbourne assembled HT too. A HT 5 litre van would not be very common, most would be 253 3spd or 253 4spd.

They are all the same except manual engines would have come complete with flywheel and bellhousing.
