Hi
I have a HQ coupe that I am building I am almost up to getting the exhaust built. My question is, It has extractors with 3 inch collectors. Is 3 inch dual exhaust to big I seen a HQ Chev with 3 inch looked good. How ever it was reasonably low and the exhaust went under the diff not over it my guess was there was not enough clearance. Anyway back to mine. It is a mild 308, t350 box and saulsbury diff
What do you think

..when i was a young bloke about 20 YO i had Pro-Ex in Airport West make me up a cool twin system for my GTS 350... ...Genie extractors into 3" collectors, into 2.5" engine pipes and turbo mufflers then out to 2.25" tailpipes with 2.5" chrome tips...how cool?... ...not cool at all .. the turbo mufflers were rubbish, the car would resonate and drum and the 2.25" tailpipes (up over the diff) managed to wear a hole in the brake pipe that ran across the back of the diff...thank goodness for the twin circuit braking system! LOL ...i would hear a squeaking noise in the back of the car when it was cold...but would go away as the car warmed up after a few minutes??... ...it was the tailpipe LHS that would rub on the brake pipe till the heat would expand the system and clear the brake pipe!...you live and learn LOL Edited by user Friday, 20 March 2015 6:48:31 AM(UTC)
