Hi All, I'm looking a buying a set of American racing wheels thruster type 17x7- 4 inch back space and 17x8 -4.5 inch back space I'm looking at 205/45 =616mm OD on the front as I don't have power steering, and on the rear maybe 225/45 =634mm OD or should I go 235/45=634mm OD the rear guards have been folded a bit from the past, any suggestions, would the 205's on the front look to spread out? cheers Mick

I would think you could go 225 front and 245 rear. I have these sizes (60 sidewalls on 14" rims)and I get the odd rub on the back on the front guards on close to full lock.
It would be good if you could find some to borrow for a test.

hi 818, how do you find 225's with the steering, power steering? Im leaning to a set of coys c5 15x7 all round with 205/65 should be a safe fit.

Steering is a little heavy at very low speed (enough to keep my wife out of the car). I have a fast ratio steering box and a 14" sport steering wheel, neihter of which help.
You will have no probles with 225's.
