Does anyone know how to disconnect the theft deterrent system on a VP V6? I am using the engine and wiring harness in another project and I want to remove all unnecessary circuits from the harness. I have the wiring diagram manual and everything else seems easy enough except the theft system. I don't have the other manual that explains how it works so I am not sure what to do.

Hi Brian.

The theft deterent system in a VP is much simpler than the VR onwards type.

The switch in the LH front door pillar switches it on & off.

The trick is, if you understand wiring, this switch controls 2 separate circuits & opens 1 while cl
