Wondering why my auto choke hasn't worked..
On taking it off I just noticed it's blocked with some round pink plastic in the middle where my finger is..
Isn't the hot exhaust gas supposed to go through this hole to heat the spring?
Any help appreciated..

Not hot exhaust gas but yes hot air, which comes from the air cleaner via a rubber hose and into a steel pipe that runs through the exhaust manifold and then up to that port.

Thanks Hk 1837

Now I get it....I just noticed it's a hot air circuit with the hot air going back into the inlet manifold once it passed the spring thingy majigit..

Now I might be able to get this thing starting a bit better..
