I have attached a photo of various clips I have from my car (307 HK manual)and some that I think came from a 307 auto Monaro. This is where I think they go: 1. - 2 clips for battery lead to starter motor, mounted on the water pump 2. - One clip for the vacuum advance pipe on the r.h. side of the inlet manifold? 3. - Can't remember where these go if they are for a manual car? (2 clips) 4. - For the battery lead along the r.h. side of the sump - manual car? or the auto car, for the transmission pipes to the radiator (these clips have no plastic sheath on them now, don't know if they did have before they were pickled (5 clips) 5. - This clip is a bit out of shape but it does have a plastic sheath on it still. The hole diameter is 7 mm, smaller than the rest of the other similiar clips shown, which are 9mm If none of the clips shown (points 4 and 5)are for the battery lead along the r.h. side of the motor, does anyone have a photo of the correct clips and the right location to mount them? Appreciate your replies Gerard

This is how it was on my car. 1. - One on the water pump is for the battery lead, one on the p/side head is for the wires to temperature switch and voltage regulator, and one clip down by the fuel pump for the battery lead.   2. - Yep  3. - Maybe throttle linkage but it looks a bit different to mine.  4. - To support two spark plug leads, I have one on each side. No plastic coating on them.  5. - Battery lead along the sump, two of them in positions #2 and #4 from the left.  I have no idea what this one was, maybe its for a single spark plug lead? Thanks for the reply and photos. Looking at the clips in the photos on your engine I see some of the clips and their locations that would probably be the same ont he 307. Yours being a 327 later type varies things a little bit at the front. Have a few questions on some of the photos:
Not sure what clip is in the fourth photo (coil area)?
Was the clip in the fifth photo is only on the l.h. side of the motor and only at the rear?

(Your #3) I thought your photo#3 was a throttle linkage clip, hard to tell what it is with the shadows. I dont have one like that anyway.
(Your #4) 5th photo. Theres one on each side, I took photos of both sides of the engine you can see them both.
The clip on the passenger side supports the 1 and 3 spark plug leads.
The clip on the drivers side supports the 2 and 4 spark plug leads.

Gerards number 3 is the clip on the bellhousing for starter wire, I have 1 on my 307 Powerglide.

Wayne, Those photos are great for detail and I am going to need all the help I can get to sort out my clips (or lack of).
By the way, is that original paint on your engine there? It sure looks like the elusive "X2 Engine Red".

Most of the engine has its original paint, the bellhousing and sump and lower sides are original but the intake manifold and water pump (all the accessable areas) have been touched up. Looks like X2 to me. I'll get it matched with the Valspar paint system oneday, it'll have a name and number then.
