Hi all
Ive recently put an HR front end in my EH wagon
Its got kinswood spindles and brakes on it and I have fitted a dual servo master cylinder with a VH40 booster.
The brake pedal is very hard and the rear locks up easily.
Is it just a case that I have to change the rear brake cylinders?
If so what to?
Cheers for the help in advance

You need to fit the HQ brake proportioning valve as per original HQ. This stops the rear from locking up It is a valve thing with about 5 brake lines going in and out of it.

It might not be a bad idea if you look through the Hoppers Stoppers web site http://www.hoppers.com.au/indexmain.html On the home page click on the FAQ section. There is a lot of information on disc brakes for early Holdens. If you can't solve the prob

If you're using a HR front end , easiest is to use HR rears too
then you get the right bias. Also visit FE/FC Holden car club forum, these guys are doing these swaps all the time.

Hey Callum
Thats why I suggested the FE/FC site , there's a "Tech" section there that will give you the correct sized cylinders , and any other mods that need to be done , I think the address is fefcholden.org.au/nsw . well worth the visit , also

Hi Guys.

Yes, an EJ to HR rear end & brakes using 9/16" wheel cylinders is the way to go.

I noticed you said you are running a dual master cylinder, but a VH40 booster, does that mean you have only boosted the front disc brakes ??

If that is the
