The roof lining in the car is cloth. It is starting to sag a bit, so I was going to try to glue it. Got a large needle\syringe from the chemist and was going to try to inject glue through the cloth. I believe some members have done this. I was wondering what glue would be most useful, it needs to be able to be injected through a .6mm needle, thanks

I assume you are referring to a 'late' model car like a VN-VZ Commodore or EA-BF Falcon. If that is the case, I've seen many different 'fixes' attempted, but they all are domed to failure. The problem is that the sponge/glue material between the cloth & the cardboard backing is crumbling & no glue will stick to it until it is removed. In Sydney the going price for a whole new headlining (fitted) is $180-$200. At that price why muck around. Dr Terry Edited by user Tuesday, 17 January 2017 1:21:44 PM(UTC)

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |
