Probably a Dr Terry Question.
With the XW 9 " in my HK GTS, running XF drum backing plates and HQ drums, plus HQ rotors and L34 calipers (HQ PBR) is this essentially just normal XA era Falcon? I thought that era Ford ran the same style of PBR calipers. If so should I use a Ford master cylinder? Will it need a prop valve in the rear brake line like a HQ?
Note that if the Ford cylinder uses a different length rod to operate it I can build a HK-HG booster to suit if need be.

The front callipers are almost the same, from memory the Ford PBR caliber has a slightly smaller diameter piston.

The main problem is the Ford duo-servo rear drums, they seem to lock up a lot easier than the Holden rears.

You will need to fit both a HQ-style proportioning valve & some smaller diameter rear wheel cylinders, 5/8" or 11/16" if you can find them.

The Holden master cylinder & booster will work fine.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

Thx Terry. I'll go looking for wheel cylinders.
