hi all, I have just found what I believe to be a 327 type 2 engine..the cast no is 3932386 with a 18 cast to the left of it..date code looks to be L 3 8 but the l is cast a bit funny so not 100% sure on that...the heads are cast no. 3927186 with date code H 21 8....inlet casting 3927184 and date H 20 8... does all this add up to be a second type engine, thanks in advance guys benny..

No. cast date is in wrong format, heads are Flint heads and are fuelies which is wrong on both counts. Intake may be correct but i'd need to see it. Where was the cast date on the block?

as I said the L is cast a bit weird could even be a one. the more I look at it the more I think it is a one, the date code is on the back of the block right hand side opposite the casting number.. thanks again..

ok thankyou.. are the heads the right type for a ht 350m being 186 type , I know most of them were 188, but apparently a few of them had the 186 type, thanks..
