Hi,
I have a Eurovox Radio in my Holden Comodore 2000 3.6 v6, Im trying to enter the PIN code from the holden dealer where I have to enter the number 1 six times, when I do this the radio comes on the fourth push of the button which I believe is a test programme in the radio.
I ran Holden Australia who confirmed the PIN 5241, they gave me instructions but still come up with same issue.
I have disconnected the battery for 10secs, and turned the ignition key to accessory for an hour as per holden dealer instrution......
How do I bypass this to enter the PIN 5241, yeah I know get another radio but can anyone help with this issue.

"1111" is just a test code, and will give you a minute or so of usage before reverting to the locked stage.
If you're entering "5241" correctly, and it's not working, then it sounds like it's not the right PIN for that radio.
This problem is likely because someone changed out the radio at some point in the last 17 years of the car's life.
This is not uncommon in VT/VX where base models only had a cassette, and single-CD head units from the marketing specials & mid-spec models are quite common (and cheap) direct "plug & play" replacement - interfacing with the steering wheel buttons & other vehicle functions seamlessly. Problem is, if you don't know the code for that actual radio, you have next to no chance of ever getting it, unless you know the VIN of the vehicle it was sourced from (and even then, some dealers won't give you the PIN without proof of ownership).
Sometimes you can get lucky - some wreckers will write the code on the radio body in texta, or the source vehicle VIN. It may be worth fabricating some removal tools (see youtube, there should be something on there) and popping the radio out for a look. Otherwise source another radio, with a known, tested PIN number. |

Oh - forgot to add. The radios do have a mix of 4 & 6 digit PIN numbers. The more basic units are only a 4 digit code, and the upper-spec ones (ie with a stacker in the boot) are a 6 digit. |

Thanks mate i wiĺ pull the radio to see if the code or vin is written on it or replace the radio.

Some are different to others....I remember one I had you didn't just push the said number...you had to push it that amount of times if that makes sense..
IE:...........lets say your 5241......you would push the first button from the left 5 times....then the second number twice...3rd one 4 times and the 4th once....If you get my drift.
Hope that makes sense..maybe its worth a try.
