A friend has a HT 350 manual. He is going from modern alternator with built in regulator back to original style. He has a couple of alternators from the period, one is longer than the other, maybe original and one is possibly of an HG Prem. What are the stamped numbers on a 350 manual alternator, Brisbane plant.

The stamped number is a 3 digit date code. There were a few batches of these alternators so there are a few possibilities. There are several differences with the 350 alternator over the normal one, but the main identifier is the Bosch part number, 9 120 060 629. Edited by user Sunday, 12 November 2017 10:06:32 PM(UTC)

One alternator is marked made in Germany. How does that fit in early alternator scheme.
