My Van is missing the spare wheel door lock. I know where there is a NOS FB EK one. Anyone know if it fits the HG Van Door? I thought they interchanged as they were Lockwood Locks with a Holden Barrel and Key from memory.

According to the master parts catalogue I've got the part number for the spare wheel compartment door lock, 7418424, is the same for the EJ to the HG, but the catalogue doesn't have the part number for the FE to EK. 50/FJ is part no.7405375. Even though the part number is the same for the HR and the HG I thought the HR had a longer barrel than the HG. Unfortunately this doesn't help with your question.

Thanks for your reply KBM. I know that the HD HR lock has a much longer barrel and key area. I have had numerous old Holdens over the past 45 years but it is a very long time since I had any of these locks in my hand to compare. I've seen the NOS FB EK one but the owner has an original EK ute...... |
