Ok guys and gals ...Tell us the dash that grabbed you back in the day.

Who cares what make or model.
Lets exclude the modern era of cars.

I know back in the day in the 70's when I was a kid kicking tyres not really having the "dough ray me" certain cars pushed all my buttons,LOL!

One Of my bosses came home with a HQ Sandman and I was in awe.


Then I saw in a magazine the new Falcon XA sports dash , it was titled " What a dash" i think or something similar .

And it is a beauty no doubt .It was and I just saw a XA on eBay with a great shot of the full sports dash it still looks great IMHO.

Thank go to the ebay poster...I hope he no mind.

We went to the city one day and stumbled into a Mazda dealership and sat in a 1974 RX4...It was OMG how good is this with the wrap around dash and gear stick that looked like it was sloped to the driver.The comfort level was very impressive if I remember.It was a total different feel and look to the Aussie cars.



I never really got into the Euro stuff tho.

Yes the HQ GTS Sandman type was a great thing as was the XA GT and GS.
HK GTS was crap but the HT-G GTS was great as was the XR to XY GT.
I like the XC GXL but the XD on was not much chop.
Valiant VG Pacer was ok.

Same sentiments here. I don't like the HK GTS but was impressed with the HT-G GTS
