I picked up a cheap set of reco blue heads to replace the worn out reds on my 308. Can I just bolt them on using the red manifolds?. Will it overhead if the blue heads heat passage is blocked?.

They bolt straight on, but you will need to get a 253 or 308 blue/black valley cover or a KC castings 253308 manifold. The KC one is designed to fit all of the pre VL Walkinshaw heads.

I have a HT pre-pollution 308. The plan was to use the pollution heads and the pre-pollution manifold.
I guess that's a no go then.
