Hi All
As hinted at in the distributor thread, more engraving mysteries. The coil spring 'tube' (not sure what else to call it) on the front end has CSP engraved on it in 25mm tall letters. Like this:

Any ideas what this could be?
Cheers

Is this early HT (with the HK geometry) or a changed one (a month or so into HT) with the raised upper control arm mounting location?

not sure about the difference between HK and HT sorry. It is from an Aug to Sept assembled HT. Has HT stamped into the lower control arms.

here is a more general pic:

That is the changed HT at that time. They sacrificed handling for improved straight like tracking by raising the upper control arm mounting points. It happened soon into HT production

I take it that the raised upper control arm pivot gives you more positive camber gain with wheel travel?
More understeer, but less deflection from a straight line path when the wheel hits a bump, so better in a straight line.

Buick had something similar with their full size cars in the same era. Great thread. Once more I've learnt something new.
Thanks for it so far.

Cheers, Chris
