Hi,
I would very much appreciate if someone was able to decipher the following data plate from a HD premier please:
Body HD235-3045-S Trim 369-D66 Paint 587-7909 Top 385-5034
The car has a brown/bronze body, white roof and red interior.
Thanks and regards

Do you have the books for the car? It should also have a little tag held on with screws that has the PSN for the car. |

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, no books. The little plate has:

Dr Terry will have all the paint and trim data for you. I was interested to see if the package code was on the ID Certificate in the log book. It is stamped on the body ID plate on Melbourne bodies but you only ever see it in the books for other plant bodies. |

Body HD235-3045-S Trim 369-D66 Paint 587-7909 Top 385-5034 HD235 = HD Premier sedan (I'm not sure if it is manual or Auto, because Pagewood didn't stamp M or A after the model code) 3045 = 3,045th HD out of Sydney (Pagewood) plant S = Sydney 369 = badly stamped 869 = Fowlers Ivory roof over Tawny Grey Metallic body D66 = Astoria Red interior trim 587-7909 = Dulux shade no. for Tawny Grey Metallic 385-5034 = badly stamped 585-5084 = Dulux shade no. for Fowlers Ivory (white) Dr Terry Edited by user Saturday, 17 August 2019 5:25:54 PM(UTC)

Thanks very much Dr Terry. It's a shame that some of the stamping is a bit iffy.
Now the fun begins with the resto.

Quite often the stamping is just not firm enough. If you give the aluminium plate a light polish, the 3s might become 8s again. Dr Terry |
