Hi All,

I've done a search, but nothing seems to come up. I'm after information on the difference between the H O L D E N letters that are flat vs the tapered ones. Does one type go on the bonnet and the other on the boot lid? Are the ones used on the HD the same as used on other models?

The mix of letters I have are cast with either "HOLDEN 202" or "HOLDEN 232" on the back, except for the "H" which has "HOLDEN 741534 1" on it.

Thanks and regards

according to the parts manual the hood and deck lid are the same for HD. H is 7424032, O is 7424033, L is 7424034, D 35, E 36, N 37. the numbers are the same for HK but change for HT hood only. H is 7415341, O 42, L 43 etc. As gmholdman said 7415341 also fits the EJ,EH. looks like they reused the same lettering from the EJ,EH for the HT bonnet.

Thanks for the info! Here are some pics of the casting info.

Any idea on the flat vs tapered letters? The last pic shows the difference.

To my knowledge the flat letters appear on EJ & EH & reappear for HT (bonnet).

The tapered ones are for HD & then HK, this includes the P-R-E-M-I-E-R letters.

The EJ/EH/HT letters have parts nos. 7415xxx, while the HD/HK ones are numbered 7424xxx.
