The wiper arm on my HJ tonner is slipping on the pivot. I have tried it on another pivot so it is worn inside the socket on the arm.
Anyone done a repair on these?
The ideas I've had are a couple of grub screws to stop it from slipping. Drill/tap the arm and pivot for a bolt. Drill through for a pin (the 'C' shaped pins made from flat steel that are tapped in).
Or are arms still available? Or will a currently available one fit?

I may or may not have wrapped some teflon tape around the drive spline and tapped the wiper arm back on in times past but only to get me out of trouble and not recommended as a permanent repair.

Ended up drilling through the arm and pivot and tapping it for a 3/16" bolt (or maybe 1/4", can't remember). Was easy enough.
A bit of checking was required to get it in the right position so it didn't hit the windscreen surround at the bottom of its travel. No adjustment is available doing it like this!
And the bolt needs to be right at the top of the curve on the arm to stop the bolthead hitting the plenum cover.
Has worked OK in the 10 minutes of rain I have driven through since. Need more rain!

Good old Aussie fix. If your not near a servo do it yourself. As for the rain you can come to Tolmie and try it out on snow but you might get caught at the border. Who would've thought that could happen?
