Hi I have a 1969 Holden HK Monaro V8 with power steering. On the end of the control valve for the power steering there is a nut which I am not sure what the torque setting should be. I have tried to tighten but just keeps going to the point oil or grease leaks out?? Can anyone help please. I can send photos if it helps. Thanks Pete

There is no torque setting for that nut. If we are talking about the nut under the small cap on the outer end of the control valve, it is the bias setting for the steering. Too far one way & the power unit will go left by itself & too far the other way it will go right. It has to be set up on a test bench, or by an experienced mechanic in the car itself. If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |

Hi guys, having trouble finding out which is the pressure line and return line on the valve in HT power steer. Is the small connection the pressure or return on the valve?
