howdy.hi. i am conducting investigation into the originality of the sill panel below front windshield being painted black? and is it common for adr plate, vin plate & body id plate to be painted over (black) aswell?? hj ute with 1888-64V ??
any assistance apreciated

any hj holden v8 engine bay pics with original paint schemes would be appreciated. i am doing resto and hope to get refrence of the way they were back in the day. thanks in advance cheers

The panel about 6 inches wide between the windscreen and the bonnet is body colour (Cotillion White on yours), and this extends down under the bonnet to the panel that the compliance plates etc all sit on. Its from the top edge of the firewall down that is black (or shop mix grey paint).
