I need to attach new inner weather seals to the top of my door trims for my HJ Holden ute. I've removed the the original seals that are stapled to the trims. What methods have people used to attach the new ones?

Aluminium pop rivets.

Thanks, that was my first thought but wasn't sure if the rivet might interfere with the top of the door.

Was a long time ago and it was a WB. Wouldn't hurt to double check the positioning of the rivets won't foul on anything.
Also from memory I used rivets that were barely long enough to do the job.

The top part of the HJ & WB doors are the same. I used short rivets, they fitted without fouling.
